We understand it was delivered new to a buyer in Malaya, then found it’s way to New Zealand as early as 1966 and eventually to it’s present owner in South Australia.
We hold documentation covering some of it’s earlier life in New Zealand and at the time imported to Australia.
We also hold evidence of the Australian Government’s Vehicle Import Approval # ADDEND41827 and dated the 16th of November 2018.
Powered by a 1.9 Litre 4 cylinder SOHC engine, it produced when new 89.5Kw and 155Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance figures at the time of release suggest 0-100kph in 12.4 secs and a top speed near 180kph.
A very stylish classic Mercedes Benz with great provenance, which would suit an enthusiast willing to continue the care, fettle along the way and just enjoy the ability to cruise in style.
The current SA plate MERC61 may be available with the sale, provided the buyer is a South Australian resident.
Currently Historically registered in SA, this is not transferable, however the car would be eligible for similar schemes in other jurisdictions, which equates to minimal on road costs.
Available to admire on our state of the art showroom floor in Adelaide.
We can arrange transport door to door Australia wide.
