1964 FORD FALCON FUTURA XM 170 PURSUIT HARDTOP – MANUAL – 17,534 MILES SHOWING Presenting Koala Beige with two tone Futura interior trim. Delivered new by Dalgety & NZL Ltd of Adelaide on the 6th of November 1964. Only two owners since new! We hold the original handbook showing the first owner’s name. We also hold a workshop manual that shows some use over the past years. This example is in very original condition and being a 3 speed manual means it is quite rare to the more common automatic versions. Powered by a 2.8 Litre 6 cylinder “Pursuit” engine, it produced when new 83Kw and 212Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 3 speed column mounted manual gearbox. Performance figures at the time of release suggested 0-100kph in 14.8 secs and a top speed near 150kph. This car is being presented as is after very little use in recent years. Whilst the car presents very well, it would suit someone looking for originality and willing to fettle it going forward. 1961 MERCEDES BENZ R121 190SL ROADSTER – MANUAL – 73,628 MILES SHOWING The Mercedes-Benz 190 SL (R121) is a two-door luxury roadster produced by Mercedes-Benz between May 1955 and February 1963. Internally referred to as R121, it was first shown in prototype at the 1954 New York Auto Show, and was available with an optional removable hardtop. This example present in Cream with Red interior trim. ** A matching numbers car, we hold evidence from Mercedes Benz in Germany dated the 28th of April 1961. We understand it was delivered new to a buyer in Malaya, then found it’s way to New Zealand as early as 1966 and eventually to it’s present owner in South Australia. We hold documentation covering some of it’s earlier life in New Zealand and at the time imported to Australia. 1975 HOLDEN HJ MONARO GTS COUPE – AUTO Introduced in October 1974, the HJ Monaro incorporated a heavy facelift and some model rationalisation. Its front end bore a resemblance to the 1970–1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The 350 V8 engine option and the base Monaro coupé were both discontinued. The Monaro GTS continued to be available as a coupé or sedan with the 253 (4.15Lt) V8 engine, or the optional 308 in (5.0Lt) V8 engine. The Monaro LS coupé also continued within the range, but still with the 3.3-litre six-cylinder engine as its base power unit. This example, one of 606 made by GMH was delivered new by McLeod, Kelso & Lee Pty Ltd, Holden dealers of Newcastle West NSW on the 3rd of July 1975. Presenting in Persian Sand with Beige interior trim. Purchased by the current South Australian owner in May 2010. Most recent service attention was given on the 11th of March 2026 at 52,015 kms, the vehicle has had very little use since then. We hold the original books, some early paperwork relating to it’s earlier life NSW and also a comprehensive list of attention from the current South Australian owner. 1977 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER HJ45 TRAYTOP – MANUAL Delivered new to it’s first owner by J. & J. Thamm, Toyota agents of Minlaton SA on the 23rd of November 1977. We hold the original service and handbook which tell us the above details and also some of it’s early service history. From these original books, we can confirm this is a very original and matching numbers vehicle. Powered by 4.2 Litre 6 cylinder engine, it produced when new 99.3Kw and 284.2Nm of power and torque, delivered to an AWD system via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance wasn’t a Land Cruiser’s forte in the 70’s more their ability to go reliably just about anywhere. However figures at the time of release suggest 0-100kph in 14.3 secs and top speed near 130kph. This beautiful example has undergone a complete restoration by the present owner with his focus on originality. These are his words which describe the journey best of all:- “TOYOTA FJ45 LANDCRUISER SXH 972 This vehicle has been in my ownership for about 30 years, the first 20 years used for everyday work on my farm in the Adelaide Hills. I purchased the vehicle through an Adelaide car dealer who advised me it was the “run around” vehicle for a South Australian Toyota dealership which went into administration around that time. Prior to that the only history we have of the vehicle is in the original delivery/service books issued to the original owner in 1977 and which are included with the vehicle. The vehicle has matching numbers and still has the original dealership decal preserved on the rear window. Since my retirement and sale of the farm my kids encouraged me to retain the vehicle and restore it as my retirement project. This was done over a period of about 9 years with “stop start” approach. It was stripped to the bare chassis and completely rebuilt from the ground up including all mechanicals, body work professionally done with all rust repaired and treated before being painted in its original colour. The trim was professionally done. Once the restoration was completed the vehicle went to a qualified mechanic with many years of experience with Toyota Landcruiser restorations. It was extensively checked to verify all mechanical work was carried out to a high standard and that the vehicle was completely roadworthy. The vehicle has been restored as close as possible to original specifications. Since completion of the restoration about 9 months ago the vehicle has travelled less than 1,000 kms. The vehicle is being sold as I am downsizing my property and there is insufficient room to store the vehicle. A complete photographic history of the strip down and rebuild is available if required along with a folder of all receipts and notations of money spent and a workshop manual.” It is also possible that the SA plates currently on the car are the original ones issued when new. They also may be available if the car is sold to another SA resident. Currently on Historic registration in South Australia, this is not transferable, however the vehicle would be eligible for similar schemes in other jurisdictions, equating to minimal on road costs. This vehicle is an outstanding example of it’s type and would satisfy someone who is considering an early Land Cruiser restoration, but saving you years of time, toil and cost.
